OIVI - Operations Manager – Healthcare Technology (US, Europe or India)
Make an Impact. Help Protect Vision.
Are you a high-energy, detail-obsessed operations professional eager to make a difference? Join Oivi as our Operations Manager and make sure our cutting-edge eye screening technology is delivered cleanly, compliantly, and efficiently to customers across our markets. You’ll be the link between contracts, regulations, supply chain, and customer delivery, all while supporting a mission-driven health-tech company that saves vision and improves patient outcomes.
Why Oivi?
Oivi is a rapidly growing health-tech company on a mission to make eye care easy, fast, and accessible. Our high-quality, easy-to-use retinal screening camera enables primary care providers to detect life-changing diseases early. We’re a collaborative, purpose-led team where every new customer makes a real impact.
Your Role: Make Operations Run Clean, Compliant & Scalable
In this role, you’ll own the operational backbone that lets Oivi scale safely: HIPAA and GDPR implementation, FDA/medical device QMS touchpoints, inventory and logistics, and the “plumbing” behind customer contracts and SLAs.
If you have a legal background and you’re itching to get closer to real business operations, this could be a great fit. If you already live and breathe operations and want to sharpen that even more, you’ll feel at home here. Do you love business operations or are you ready to fall in love with them and want that work to support retinal screening in primary care for early detection of life-changing diseases? Then this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Data Protection: Support and operationalize HIPAA and GDPR requirements across tools, vendors, and internal processes.
Regulatory & QMS: Coordinate operational aspects of FDA and medical device QMS (e.g. ISO 13485), including documentation and quality workflows.
Contracts & Legal Ops: Work with legal counsel on customer contracts, BAAs, DPAs, and intercompany agreements, and translate obligations into concrete processes and SLAs.
Deployment Readiness: Ensure clinics are deployment-ready with the right hardware, software, credentials, training materials, and documentation.
Clinic Onboarding & Training Logistics: Coordinate the operational side of clinic onboarding, including inventory allocation, shipment planning, access and credentials, documentation, and training logistics (onsite and remote) together with Customer Success and clinical stakeholders
Field Reliability: Track operational issues in the field and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to reduce recurring problems.
Supply Chain & Inventory: Set up and manage inventory management, shipments, and logistics (including customs and export/import documentation).
Workflow & Process Optimization: Map and improve key operational processes (deployments, incident handling, RMAs, logistics), with a strong focus on digitalization and automation.
Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with manufacturing partners, logistics providers, and other vendors to ensure performance and compliance.
SLA Tracking: Help monitor and report on SLA performance (response, resolution, uptime, replacement timelines) and drive corrective actions when needed.
Cross-Team Operations & Risk: Act as an operational bridge between Engineering, Product, Commercial, Customer Success, Support, Quality and Finance. Help maintain a light operational risk overview across compliance, supply chain, contracts and SLAs, and support resource planning as volumes grow.
Facilities & Operational Readiness: Coordinate basic facility needs for storage, test/repair areas and other operational spaces, ensuring they support safe, compliant and efficient device handling.
Who You Are
You do not need to tick every box below to be a strong candidate. If you recognize yourself in several of these points and like the sound of the role, we still want to hear from you.
Experience in operations in medtech, digital health, healthcare, or other regulated/complex environments.
Practical exposure to HIPAA and GDPR; experience with medical device QMS / FDA / ISO 13485 is a strong plus.
Experience with supply chain, logistics, and inventory management, including customs/export/import.
Comfortable working with legal counsel on contracts, data protection, and regulatory topics (you don’t need to be a lawyer, but legal text doesn’t scare you).
Strong process and systems mindset – you prefer clean, digital, automated workflows over manual patchwork.
Excellent communicator, confident collaborating with engineers, clinicians, commercial teams, and external partners.
Passionate about healthcare and making a measurable difference for patients.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, law, operations, supply chain, healthcare administration, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience welcomed. Applicants with a legal background who wish to transition into operational roles in healthcare/medtech are encouraged to apply.
Additional
Location: US, India or Europe, with collaboration across international teams.
Valid passport and willingness to travel regionally/internationally.
Authorized to work in the country of residence.
Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
Why Join Us?
